This place has just reopened and has great beer choices and limited food menu right now but the food was great. Service was excellent and staff was awesome, we will be back, update just stopped in for the Reuben and poutine , and a couple of Guinness. Awesome!

McGuire’s Pub has reopened with full bar and food menu. As of Wednesday, March 19, 2025! New hours are Wednesday–Sunday, 5 PM–2 AM (closed Monday and Tuesday). Be sure to try the County Cork Stout Pie—it’s a must!

We tried McGuires for the first time last night and we really enjoyed! It was New Year’s Eve and they had a very festive atmosphere, but we did not plan on going for any special event. The food was amazing. We all enjoyed something different the menu and no-one in our group of 5 was disappointed. I personally loved their fish and chips. Service was attentive on a busy evening and i loved the authentic Irish pub vibe. We will be going back again, i’m sure!

Just as I remember I’m so happy that it reopened. It brings out so many memories just the place itself. Thank you for that!! Great selection of beer. 🍺 I personally enjoyed the cider. Good food and attentive staff. Cool edgy Irish rock music was playing on the day of my visit. If you can only add one more dish to the menu I’d be the happiest girl in the world and it’s bbq burgers. Those were the sloppiest stickies sweet and tangy burgers ever. With a pickle on the side and pub chips. Yum!!! 🤤

First time here! Apparently they just opened up for lunch this week! Atmosphere was great, the staff were attentive! The decorations and how everything was set up and with the music it was awesome! I had the smoked salmon sand-which it was delicious! A dill spread with cucumbers and micro greens it was super refreshing and the pub chips were salted just right! Overall 10/10 dinning experience I will be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maguire’s is one of my favorite spots in Hickory. Great atmosphere, good drinks, and consistently excellent service. A special shoutout to Bradley- he’s attentive, friendly, and always makes sure everyone at the bar is taken care of. He’s happy to put on whatever game you’re looking for and goes out of his way to make the experience enjoyable. Bartenders like him are a big reason I keep coming back.

Great time at this spot in downtown Hickory! Thought it was hilarious that they have Guinness listed under every food category on the menu. We tried the Social Mode seltzer for a cool NA pick me up. Obviously got the Guinness too. We tried the Irish chips and the Potato Onion Soup, both were great. You MUST try the beer cheese it was phenomenal. Shout out to Bradley for recommending it and telling us about other spots around town!

I have to say if you are ever in Butte MT you have to come here. The food is excellent! Prime Rib dip and fish and chips were the bomb and I can’t say enough about the Reuben egg rolls! The special beer, I like my Boulevard Wheat, but this Huckleberry Wheat has to be one of the smoothest beers 🍺 I have ever had. And the decor is great. 👍 5 ⭐️ stars all around. And the staff is wonderful. We are here for one more night and I think I know where we are coming for dinner again. More things on the menu I need to try!
